Ring and Pinion
I keep breaking my front end ring and pinion in my d30 hp. I guess it's were I'm jumping and landing on my front end. What is the best brand of ring and pinions that I can buy? I need them to be sturdy. Very sturdy.

what have you done to your dana 30 housing? stock? trussed? what are you doing for a locker? what gear ratio are you running? if you are jumping it and dont have a truss you have probably bent the housing already and are putting massive stress on the diff. or, maybe you are also running a stock carrier and a locker which makes the gears subject to deflection because of the weakness in the stock carrier. if you havent already you should replace the carrier with a full case locker like an ARB or Detroit locker.

I'm only on fifteens with stock size tires turkey tread (check out my picture.)
I don't want the front locked cause it affects the turning in the mud on the sharp turns we do. It sends us out wide.
Front ends all factory except my 4:11 gear ring and pinion. Yep def needs trussed prob. We don't jump real high just sometimes. Lol.
What's the sturdiest brand of ring and pinions made?

not a probably, a must. even cryo'd ring and pinions aren't going to last with an axle bent and all that. want to save some money and hassle? do it right the first time, get a straight axle and truss and sleeve it, even that will keep regular ring and pinions from breaking.

is your axle bent? finding the cause of the destruction is key other wise your flussing money away. ive jumped my a bunch blow ujoints, ball joints and wheel bearings also bent the front axle. that was with 33x12.5 on 15x10 steel wheels alot of added stress.
if your racing are you on the throttle as you hit the ground?
is the gears getting setup right?

you really have no idea what youre doing. thats cool and all, live and learn and keep tearing it up racing dude. but you NEED to truss that whole housing, and tie the truss into the pumpkin and run an aftermarket cover. and truss is from underneath. the jumping is deflecting your gears ripping them apart. theres lots of pics and stuff on the NAXJA racing subforum i posted in your other thread.

another question how lifted are you? are you getting binding on the front driveline while compressed or at full sage?
I would say like stated run a truss get some bump stops and straps on the jeep then get digging deeper into your setup. sorry for all the questions jsut gives me a better idea on advice. when your doing this racing is 4hi needed?
