Default Replacement fenders?

I'm hoping to get the consensus on aftermarket replacement body panels (fenders). I need a driver's side fender and am wondering whether the new ones made in China or Taiwan are decent or should I be looking strictly for OEM? I want it to fit properly. Thanks

Id go with oem sheet metal if its out there. The aftermarket parts are going to fit, some take a little more adjustment but they never look good, the quality is definitely lacking. check www.car-part.com,
most salvage yards are on it.

I've had the misfortune to need to replace 2 front fenders, one replacement I used was a very nice OE one from a salvage yard, one was aftermarket.
If you can find a good ( no rust) oe one use that. If you can't the aftermarket one fit fit, the metal is a bit thinner, and you need to pay a lot of attention to rust proofing.
Note that a lot of places sell aftermarket body panels , most of which are made by the same few companies, Key being one of them.

Thanks for the replies. I'm in the process of also restoring a '69 Camaro and the aftermarket fenders available for those are terrible, no matter what brand you go with.

Taiwanese fenders are usually decent fit close to OEM. Chinese ones can be hit or miss; often need tweaking. If you want no hassle, go OEM or find a good used original. Check reviews for specific brands.
