Well i just finished a rear end swap on my comanche. I did the spring over swap with a couple of new spring perches and a Chrysler 8.25 non c clip. Bolted it up last night and noticed that i have 1/2 inch clearance from tire to frame on one side, and 1.5 inches on the other side. But i have 1 inch from tire to leaf on both sides. So heres my questions. Would that half inch of clearance concern you? I dont plan on wheeling quite yet, and i have a set of wheel spacers i can get in about 2 weeks. Also have any of you guys had this happen? I cant figure it out. The measurements just don't seem right to me.
Thanks for the help in advance!

Check your perch placement, may be to wide and pushing the leaves out. Also where did you find a non c-clip 8.25?
You got me there. I dont know what i was thinking when i wrote about the non c clip. Its been a long day haha.
But before we welded on the new perches we took a measurement of the free hanging leafs without an axel bolted up to them. Thats what we used as a measurement to base the spring perch location off of. Their welded on 100% on the money. Just double checked them to be sure. The pins fell right into the hole is the perches.

You got a head scratcher there. Does it sit level? Maybe one leaf is a little stiffer and making it lean. I'd bounce up and down a few times in the bed and drive it a little. Could be just how it settled when you set it down from the jack.
It sits level side to side. The front end sits down about 3 inches though as im waiting for some coil spacers. Don't think that could effect much though. Im plumbing some break lines tomorrow so ill take it for a drive after that. Do you think running it for a couple weeks with .5 inch clearance is ok? Id hate to loose a tire. They way my tires look now, if i lost one, id have to get a whole new set. And i can't afford that now
