My girlfriend's 98 xj has a np242, 4.5" of lift, and currently has a 1" tc drop. For valentines day I was going to get her a sye and shaft, but on eBay there is a guy selling xj shafts with double cardians at the slip yoke. I have a front shaft, can I modify it to work with a factory style yoke and forgo the sye? Am I talking crazy? It looks like the double cardian would add enough length to the shaft to take some pressure off the yoke, while cutting drive line angles that it would be worth a try.
