Ok, so heres the scoop, I have a 96 XJ that ive had for about a year now and never really wheeled it until last week in the snow with my father in law. On the way home I could hear some noise from the rear when turning to the left and this is what i found... It has the JKS Adjustable Cross-Over Shock Mount that is destroyed.

Has anyone ever seen this from a JKS Mount?? What would cause this?
Heres a link to the mount from JKS http://store.jksmfg.com/merchant2/me...ory_Code=Shock

Yea it pulled its self through... Im new to all the jeeps and 4x4 stuff, but the washer on the outside of the shock was pretty small.. and I think from the mount being bent(pic 3 from the top) everytime the shock would compress it would basically try to push the shock off the mounting stud.... until it finally did? thats what i want to figure out before i have the same issue

I've never really wheeled it hard enough to flex it that much and I have never noticed them bottom out... I guess i can try to straighten the mount as much as possible and move it 1 more notch to the middle and see if the new shocks bottom out?

well my plan to move over to the center 1 postion(making the shock mounting points about 2" longer) will not work, because the passanger side has exhaust in the way... not sure how jks planned on using the other half of the mounting points on that side?

Agreed.. so Serious you guys sell this JKS product..http://www.seriousoffroadproducts.co...ducts_id=77865
How do you use the centermost 2 mounting points with the factory exhaust??? As seen in my last picture those other 2 mounting points are worthless on the passenger side.. Isnt that the point of this product so that you can use a longer shock without bottoming out?
