I am looking to replace all my brake lines with extended ones. I am looking at the rear soft line and i noticed there are two of them??

Do i replace both or just one? and which one is it that the Dakota rear line works with?

#2 is a breather for the axle

 

do i need to worry about the breather line not being long enough? where does it lead to?

 

so you have spent some extensive time under your jeep and can't see where the breather goes??? wow and the soft brake line goes to a bracket on the uni-body and the breather goes to a nipple on the uni-body both should be extended

 

I used a rear hose from a 96 4x4 Dakota. It is a good 6in longer and has worked great. It's a direct bolt on.
