I’m new to Cherokees, just bought a 1999 a month ago. I’d like to put a swing-away rear bumper on it. I found the one above on Pinterest but there was no info on who made it.
Anyone know if this came from a vendor? If so, what vendor?
if you know of a similar model, please send me the vendor info.
thanks!

Definitely homemade. I should know. Its my jeep, LMFAO
It was one of my first fab projects ever. I ended up removing it to rework the hinge and latch setups and never got around to it. Recently started thinking about putting it back together properly.

Small world! Are you interested in doing some fab work? If you are, PM me because I can’t PM you.
I'm now a fabricator by trade, I built that junk long ago in a one car garage with minimal tooling. It was built out of scrap and junkyard parts. At the time I was just getting into welding and learning everything on my own.
I'll just say this...if you want something like this, and don't want to pay large vendor prices, seek out a local fab shop. They can most likely build you something, that while it won't break the bank, still won't be cheap. There's a lot involved in something like this. At the moment, I'm in California, and have everything I need at my house, as well as my job, to do something similar, but unless you are local, I'd never take it on. Price gets higher when you have to ship a large, heavy, and weird shaped item.
