When I had 3.5" RE coil springs in the front and I measured it using the "dirty" method (from top of axle to frame seam, it was 3.75" in the front. Those springs were old though and probably settled. I would guess they started maybe at 4".

Also my rear now has 3.5" spring packs from RE and a shackle. The total height is 5.5" in the rear right now, and I am not sure if the shackle is 1.5" or 2" longer than stock. This means that the pack is either exactly 3.5" or it is about 4".
Hope that helps. In my case it seems like the trend is about a maximum of 1/2 inch higher than stated.
Many people also forget to account for the fact that their current springs have sagged because they are worn out-in which case you will see a greater increase in lift height.

Way under rated. My buddy had a wrangler that he put a RE 4.5 on. The thing measured in at almost 7 when it was done...

Cool! Thanks guys. The reason i was asking,Im looking at the Ironrock long arm kit. It states that you must have at least 4" of lift. That makes it a bit easier thanks!!
