want to update. i did the AAL shortly after the last post (8-21-14). i reused the orig ubolts. the passenger side aal leaf recently broke in half. basically went unnoticed, the jeep does not lean to that side or have any other tell tale signs. i put around 100k miles on the AAL, hauling 500+ lb items several times. even towed some cars. the original leaf springs were sagging, A LOT, when i installed the AAL.
in a nutshell - aal lasted 4+ years/100k miles. the leaf broke, no additional sagging and the aal didn’t “wear out” per se.

i am a lot of things, lucky usually isn’t one of them. i paid $50 for the aal (nib) and $20 for the poly spacers up front. about $10 for the xmember drop. can’t complain too much, eh. i figured the excess of street driving and 0 off-road use is why they lasted so long. hopefully it’ll hang in there until spring, because i’m done spending every flipping weekend working on this pile.
