Quote: not bad, overall stiffer than before but that might be the Bilstein 5100s that went on at the same time
did you go with the Bilstein 5100s mentioned much earlier in the thread?

So my son and I studied this thread for his XJ, figured out rubber bushings to fit ordered all the parts front and rear and the Ranchos never came in turns out they are no longer available. Called Rancho themselves and they confirmed this. Been calling around a bit but so far struck out on finding a pair on a shelf somewhere.

So back to figuring out a way for the rears.

Cheers
Nobby

These will get you between 1 1/2" and 2". You'll get to use your bushings.

Rancho was a 1.5" bushing diameter both ends as opposed to stock so cannot reuse the bushings. Also Rancho was a 5 leaf which to my mind counters the loss of intial lift once the spring gets some life on it. Also some reviews of going flat quickly on the crowns.

Wasn't aware of the bushing difference.
As far as the Crowns going flat I installed mine 3yrs and 4mths ago. Lots of "necessities" onboard. Of course I can't speak for everyone who has them.

Thanks Earl i'll look into that.

I am also pondering the following these from Dayton if I think, with an add a leaf they should spec out similar to the Rancho:

Been quite a few here who have tried AAL's (full length and short ones) on both old and new springs. They've said they provide a harsh ride and also don't last very long. If you think about it if a whole spring pack is providing the lift whereas one leaf is providing it which will last longest?

There have been some here who have General Springs on there XJ's (755#?). Haven't heard any complaints so far.

Yeah, that's why I latched onto the Rancho's a supposed mild lift without any add a leaf or whatever tricks. Anyways the good news is that I tracked a pair down at O-Reillys and based on the shipping details they are indeed on their way. Up until now it has been place order only to have it canceled, fingers crossed they show and are correct. Thanks for the input.

Well, guess I put off the suspension refresh on my truck for too long. Back to the drawing board.

Try O-Riellys and stock a pair in, i ordered yesterday and they are shipping out, the website still seems to think they have them so you may luck out.

I read through this whole thread and like most of the posters here I like the small lift look on the Cherokee. There are some good looking Jeeps in this thread. I'm bummed to find out that Rancho doesn't offer the 1.5" lift leaf springs any more.

As i posted before try O Reillys. You can still add it to the cart which i was told by customer service means they still have it when I purchased a pair.
