Thinking about buying a set of racing seats for my xj. They already have mounting brackets. What kind of work will I need to do to attach them? Any pictures? Any info will be helpful.

 

That depends a lot on what the brackets are for and how the mounting on the bottom of the seat is set-up.

I have set of Corbeau SS seats in my trail Jeep and love them. I'd HATE them if I had to get in and out of them every day.

I had to make a simple bracket adapter to make my Corbeaus fit my stock seat brackets.

If you can do that... it'd be the best way to go.

If it's a seat that's of any value you may be able to get online and find a bracket adapter for it.

 

That's good info. I think I can fab something up I just wanted to try to get plenty of ideas before I dive into this project

 

I used some sliding tilting brackets out of a xj that I found at the local u-pull it.
