Default quick question here

i have a 89 Cherokee 4.0 5speed currently has 3.07's i believe.

i am wanting to go to a 4:10 ratio. with 33's any one know what the rmp is at 60mph with this combo?

as i am new to jeep i am having a bit of a time with the search, im not up to date on my key words yet

i have a line on some 4 cyl jeep axles from a Cherokee and i just want to make sure there a good swap and wont have me turning 3krpm on the free way.

if my guesstimate is right should put me some ware between 2200 -2500.

also if some one has the time could bestow upon me some good tag words as far as running gear. i'll use the search more

According to the calculator here: http://www.4lo.com/4LoCalc.htm, you will be spinning 1977 rpm at 60 mph. I thought that this number was a little low, but my hand calculation yielded the same value. I did the same swap, but i am running 31s and have an AW-4 auto. It is a great combo and i am planning on going up to 33s. I am convinced that the gearing with 33s will be acceptable for me. Hope this is helpful. As for the search keywords, i will be of no help...haven't used the search function very much...good luck.

I have 4.10s and with my 34x10.5s, i was getting 22/24 mpg when I drove down from MT (to louisiana)... my jeep only had 20k on it and I added alot of stuff (borla exhaust, TB spacer, K&N, bigger radiator etc.) and even now with my 35 x12s, with the 4.10s 70 is around 2000 on the highway

that being said I get alot less going up a big hill run around 3000/3500 to keep it going 70

I'm on 32" tires with 4.56 gears, and I run about 2100 rpm at 65ish.

Google "AX-15 gear ratios"...5th gear should be 0.79:1. The t-case is a 1:1 high range...

I'm running 3.55's with 33's, I really wish I thought ahead and got 4.10 axles during my 4x4 conversion but it wasnt in the budget.

AX15 5th gear ratio is .79, high range in the transfer case is 1:1, FYI low range in the transfer case is 2.72.

60x4.10x336x.79/33= 1979 rpms

If your 33s are actually 33 inches tall, most are around 32.6-32.8 inches.

thank you. i think that rpm would be better. i turn 1200 at 55 in 5th right now.

so looks like a axle swap is in order.

much thanks
