There is a guy around here where I live that took a late 80's model and put it on an international scout frame..Looked really nice and almost like it was a factory job and not to much lift at all...Wish I had some pics....

i think you would have to cut the uni body off and than make some floor pan supports and make body mounts that mount up to existing ones on the donor frame. Because it looks stupid with that unibody just bolted to that frame

For the time and materials invested you could probably make the unibody just as strong as a frame.

Wow this thread is old... But I did see one the other day out on the trails. I noticed he had done a front leaf spring conversion and I asked him about it. Then he showed me that he'd take and dropped his XJ down on a K-5 Frame. I didn't even notice it till the guy told me about it. Had the XJ 4.0 but with the k-5 frame, suspension and axles. Had a good right height and everything sitting on 35's.
