Has anyone done this mod? What did it take and how well does it work for you?

Why would you want to do that? Without the bench seat where are you going to f*uck

 

I saw one in a local JY with front seats in the back. I was intrigued, and I decided to see how they did it. Seats were screwed into 2x4s with 3" wood screws, and the 2x4s were screwed into the floor. It made me sad.

And rocker, don't bypass the spam filter. You can get in trouble for that. Just say what you wanna say, and let it get filtered if it's on the list.

 

Its a cool mod but it kills the headroom in the back though.

That is sad... seems to me that wood projects should be left for the house, not the Jeep.

To me it only makes sense if you have passengers A LOT (kids and what-not). Otherwise, you end up losing the ability to fold down the back seat for extra cargo space. I think it'd be a PITA to have to look past the seats, since they sit up so high. It would probably be a PITA to get in and out of the back also.

I was just curious, since I've never seen this done. I just happened to come across this one for sale on craigslist and thought it was interesting that they did that.
