My 00 alternator went out and i have a 91 laying in the garage. The 00 has a plug that will plug into the back of the alternator but the 91 has 2 small posts. do i just need to cut the plug of the 00 wiring and attach a wire to each of the small post on the 91?
Thanks Guys

You can, but you're really better off not doing the swap in the first place, if you have the option.
The 1991 alternator will likely be a 70A unit - maybe a 90A. You'll be replacing a 117A unit, and losing at least 30A output!
And, once you modify the wiring, you'll have to modify it back to put in a proper alternator - which means more work for when you get a proper unit, if you put this one in first.
My advice? Give it a miss and get a proper replacement instead.
