Ran into a buddy with his new xj. And the guy before him put a push button start on it but u dont need to turn the key on to crank it only to have it run.. but they light for the key stays on and killed his battery . Looks like there are just 2 wires and the button. The bad thing if u put the key in and turn nothing is what u get u have to have the key on then push the button and help on getting it back to normal

 

There's a guide somewhere on this forum that shows how to install this mod, I'll try digging it up and you can reverse engineer it to normal.

I was just looking at it and all I found was 2 wires run off the starter to the button. .. so I guess the dash will come out tomorrow. .. and anyone know those screw s that hold the cover on around the strearing wheel are torx head?
