Looking at a used winch bumper for sale and it was off of an 89xj but I have a 99. Im just curious if the mounting would all be the same?

Despite the fact that I can not tell the difference between '97 to '01 and '96 and down bumpers it appears they are different as far as factory ones go. I am guessing that aftermarket ones will fit all years though. Most likely different instructions, slight variances, and maybe additional hardware too. You just need to be thorough when comparing the two and get as much of the hardware as you can. I would just plan on this not be a straight bolt in. You expect the worst but hope for the best.

On some of the early models you have to cut the front fenders if the after market bumper goes straight back since the newer fenders do not extend down as far as the older ones.
