Default Powertrax no slip troubles, pic inside

I recently installed a no slip I bought used in my 8.25 rear end. It wouldn't lock up all the time. I received it without instructions, and the synchro rings came like this. I assumed it was fine, because the chipped looking paddle had a decent edge on it.

Well after reading I think the previous owner broke that paddle and then pawned it off on me. So is the left synchro ring effed up?

hmm, okay. I can't remember if richmond gear is still selling the no slip or not. From research, it used to be you could get a new synchro ring for ~ $30. Not sure if thats the case anymore.

I'll just have to email them and find out.
