Power window Mayhem
Alright, I've searched and didn't find anything about this. I just recently obtained a 1989 Cherokee Limited. It has power window's which were INOP when I got the truck. I took the driver door apart and discovered that the switch panel is all new, and the previous owner had tried to rig the wires for the driver window and cut them from the block. I reconnected them, the window's (all of them and the locks) still did nothing. So I connected a ign power source to the ign power going into the door and grounded the door better, and bam, my driver window and passenger rear window now roll up and down perfectly.
The problem comes when you hit the passenger front window, the dome light dims but the window makes no attempt to move, and when you hit the driver rear window button, the power locks try (but do not succeed) to unlock.
Anyone have any ideas on this?
