Default Power Steering Remote Reservoir Ideas?

I'm thinking of a way to make an external reservoir replacing the plastic one built into the pump and make a metal one and using the same connection hoses on the jeep but making them connect into the metal reservoir. anyone have any ideas? and this is a 4.0 Cherokee 1994 4wd.

You could easily do it but Im not sure its a good idea. The location of the plastic one keeps it cool, and the odds of it breaking are slim.
So if you do this your opening yourself up for more problems.

I've seen it done, but never to a jeep. If you take a look at a full size van from GM, you'll see the reservoir is mounted beneath the wiper cowl while the pump is way down and back on the engine.
If you wanted to do something like that, maybe you can find a setup at a JY from a van. But as stated before... Why?

looking for a way to stop breaking the nipple on the back of the reservoir. that's the reason i've had to replace it already once. and it's doing it again. it's just a pin hole crack that keeps leaking. and I just figured why not just make a better system.

Idk. maybe it's when I put it on? all i know is there's a small leak on the bottom of them. and they leak out the whole reservoir in about a couple days. with no pressure while it's just sitting there. but anyways I've dound the PSC metal replacement reservoir which is much better. Thank you all for your help and asking me why i' m doing this. hahah
