So let me start off saying I know my clockspring is bad. The jeep was stalling and throwing a code for the TPS. I replaced the tps and symptoms continued. Later found out that a broken wire in the clock spring was causing the tps to malfunction. I read somewhere that you can unplug the horn relay and the symptoms will go away. I did that because I didn't have the money to spend on a new clockspring as I read it is best to get an oem replacement. The jeep drove fine for about month. Correct me if I'm wrong, but removing the horn relay should've stopped all power to the clockspring and therefore nothing could be shorting out back there? Now it stutters and/or stalls when I turn the wheel at slow speeds and has some trouble accelerating. I have also read that these symptoms can be caused by a bad high pressure switch/valve on the power steering pump. Mine is the kind attached to the end of the pressure line. Is the high pressure switch bad now too? And if so, if you order the whole line does it come with the switch on it? Or do I have to order it separately? Any input?
