Power Door Opener
Was wondering if anyone has done a power door latch (solenoids) conversion. Even with clean, maintained and lubed door latches/handles,the doors are still hard to get open from the outside. The door buttons are hard to push on my 95. Almost impossible for my elderly parents to open the doors. I would like to install a remotely operated solenoid door latch and door popper on the front doors only and still retain the stock door handle and button as a default entry. It would make their life much easier.

If thinking a solution to sticking doors, you are better off just swapping doors or door hardware versus all the engineering and fabrication required for automated door releases. If you already have a wireless door lock key fob system, than integrating probably even more difficult.
The Jeep has manual locks and windows now. I have completely taken the door latch assemblies, levers buttons apart, cleaned and lubricated everything and still hard to open from the outside. Im not sure what swapping doors or guts would do. My neighbor has a 99 cherokee and has the same problem with hard to open doors.
