I would like a skid plate for my 89 cherokee fuel tank, but I've been looking online and they are not cheap.

I know how to weld, and have access to a welder. What I don't have is plans and measurements. I could crawl around and figure it out, but was wondering if anyone else has already been there and done that, and if they have, do you have plans for a skid plate?

Skids can be had for $20-$25 at Pick-n-Pull or other self serve yard. Around $40 from a salvage yard.
I got all 3 stock skids for $60.
