HAHA,,,
Yes,, we WILL see eh? And just why would it explode? CAs are sitting level, no extra stress on anything.
U joints don't like operating at extreme angles and will wear quicker as a result.. If you hit a jump, or even unload your suspension a bit, that rear axle u joint will also bind and could crack the yoke, break the u joint, or damage the shaft.

All lift stuff aside if you plan to DD 33s and take them on 200+ mile trips. I think you should put money into some gearing. Especially if you want to cruise at 75mph on those trips.
Also maybe for safety, reliability, drivability, etc. Maybe look at a 4.5" LA setup.

Control arms have nothing to do with your rear driveshaft u joints...

There are NO extreme angles on my rig fellas. None at all. AND I as well can cruise with the 33s at a comfortable 70. Where we live we don't usually run that fast but if the need arises ,,, then yes I can do it. Why would I be "jumping" my rig ? Not everyone beats their junk to death. As problems arise,,, thet get repaired and upgraded to where there will not be another occurance of that issue. it's simple guys,, treat your gear right and it will treat you right.
This is the 7th jeep I have owned in my 54 years on this planet. I been around the block a few times.

Bringing this thread back from the dead LOL
I wanted to just kinda re-cap or end the thread with what I decided to do. Mainly because there are ALOT of threads that ask the same questions I had about putting a kit together. At a glance when you immediately start searching for lift kits after purchasing your rig, it's easy to just kinda jump on a package that either Google recommends everywhere you point your mouse arrow HAHA, or what you see in ADS. I have to give alot of credit to Kris at Froehlich Suspension Technology for answering alot of my questions and Serious Off Road for offering a good deal on a complete long arm kit as well.
The best advice I can give to anyone looking for the right kit is, research research and more research. Figure out what you want out of a kit, what kind of trails you may hit with your rig. Is it a DD mainly or strictly trail rig. Search how different set-ups affect your drive train. Wear and tear areas of running certain types of set-ups. The capabilities between short-arm, Radius long arm, 3 or 4 link. Steering upgrade are overlooked in most cases I found in many threads.
Ultimately I settled for around a 5.5 height. I ended up going with Froehlich 3 Link kit, Froehlich OTA Track bar kit, Froehlich Cross over steering kit. I ordered some Bilstein 5100 series shocks from Serious Offroad as well. Froehlich Shackle Relocator boxes, TeraFlex 2" shackles and I gonna experiment with an S10 bastard pack. Advanced Adapters SYE with OEM FRT DS.
My rig will see alot of asphalt as it is my DD, but I want to be able to take it from the road with a smooth ride to the trail with some challenging obstacles with a fairly easy transition. I'm excited to get my lift installed and I will give a review once it's done and broken in.
