Pacesetter Pros and Cons
Since the APN isn't gonna work for my renix I'm getting a pacesetter. I know about the paint burning off so I'm gonna use some paint stripper or something.
Are there any other bad things about this header I should know about? |

Pacesetter was always the best option performance wise for a cherokee anyway! Its got the longest runners out of any header on the market..always been my favorite for that reason! This in theory will help lower the peak torque which is always a good thing in a jeep.
I would order just the header & not the downpipe! 90% of the issues I've read about are the downpipe not fitting/leaking or hitting the driveshaft or something! So get one made to fit, a nice 2.5" downpipe would be nice! As for the paint baking off, you can strip it and recoat it. Scuff it up a little, paint it with some good 3000* paint and bake it in a oven. # or 4 coats should do the trick! Or send it to jet hot, they will do a header for 138 bucks. At least thats what mine cost, I used the jethot in Arizona..138 and a 11 day turn around. |
