Default Ordered my 3 core rad! installation Q's.

Just ordered my 3 core rad from radiator barn. I will be getting a Taurus e fan this week as well. But I want to know is there anything I need or need to onow for installation? Or should it just pop right in no problems? I searched....and really didn't find my answer. Any info and suggestions would be fantastic! Thanks!

Oh...I ordered it but probably won't be installing till later. I'm moving this week. So time is going to be hard to find. But depending on what day it comes will determine when it goes in. If its here by Wednesday then its going in Thursday night. If not then Tuesday night the following week if its here. I'm just trying to read up as much as I can before hand. And hopefully I can get that efan around the same time so I can throw both in while I'm there.

From what I've read. That E fan is tricky to install.

Got my new rad today! So excited. It was like Christmas day. Lol. I received that, new lugnuts(hate the originals), and sway bar bushings. Cant wait to put them all on. Won't be till next week tho. Moving and will be hella busy.

Well I installed my rad. Piece of cake. Thought it was gonna be trouble....only difficult part was removing the tranny line on the bottom. That took a little bit. But was easy over all. Jeep won't go over 210 now. Stays right at or close to 210. Even just sitting and idling it won't go but a hair over. But I did leave one old clamp on....replaced all others will screw clamps. And of course the one I didn't replaced slipped off some how and drained out all my coolant. I didnt notice till I was driving and after only a few minutes it went over 210 and I knew something wasn't right. Got it back on then added water and headed for a parts store. All good now. This 3 core rad is great. Want to do a nice road trip and see how it does. This weekend coming up will be doing some long highway driving.3 hours each way. That should be a good test.

Its good to hear that your install went pretty smoothly. I've contemplated the same radiator for my '96. I did make a 4 hour drive Thursday in mid 80s to low 90s with the air on full and crossing several mountains from south central Pa to NW Pa. I got caught behind a tri-axle for a few miles at 20mph on a steep grade and didn't go over 210, but I had my air off at that point, and windows down. My cooling system seems OK despite a fan clutch that needs replacing.

Dang. Bet that was a nice trip. Lol. Ya my fan clutch may need replaced. It seems to work ok though. I had someone I work with willing to let me take his efan out of his Taurus if I replaced of with something. He was going to sell it and wanted somthing there. But he got fired....so no efan upgrade for me yet...but o well. I'll hit some junk yards this summer and grab some stuff. Maybe ill come across a older Taurus....who knows. The rad was one of the best things I have done so far to the jeep. That and sway bar bushings. Lol. They made world of difference. I have some 703 neon injectors waiting to go in tho. So they may turn out to be the best thing I have done. Just gotta find time....
