Default Off set Dana 44 swap

Okay guys, so i just bought front and rear Dana 44's for my 96 cherokee which has the stock 4.0 and 5spd tranny.
The issue i have is that the axles i bought are offset so the pumpkins on both axles are on the passenger side.
I have figured out that a Dana 18 transfer case will work with the axles and i have found a few that near me for sale.
If you know any other T-case that will work lemme know.

Now to the point, Will a Dana 18 transfer case bolt onto the tranny with out issue, if not what steps need to be taken to make work.
Thanks guys.

You would be better off getting some dana44s that are have the same center section locations as your xj. Would be a lot cheaper in the long run, even if the axles you already have are free.

I don't know of a single xj/tj/zj build with an offset rear, so not much information will be out there. But the transmissions in the xjs all have a 6 bolt mounting surface and are 23 spline from late 1990 and newer. Earlier xjs are 21 spline.

The offset 44 rear does not have flanged axle shafts and they are either 10 or 19 spline shafts. Not Good!
