Off road accessory light relays
What relays are you guys using to hook up your driving lights and top lights?
I am going to have 2 Hella fog/driving lights and 4 Hella top lights very soon and I am wondering how I can use a relay for all of them, but still be able to shut off tops and bottoms separately. Getting so burnt out on this wiring BS.

Hella lights, at least the ones I have bought come with everything needed to wire them up.
For each light or set of lights you want to shut on/off independently you will need a relay for each.

X2. You can't run two separate circuits through one relay. I used Radio Shack automotive relays when I installed my lights. Rated for like 30 A or something and are about $4-5 each.

Great, I may go there today to pick one up.
How did you guys run your positive cable; to the positive battery terminal or to the distribution box?

I use a power distribution box from Wagon Gear.
Comes all pre-wired and ready to go with 5 fused relay circuits. Additional circuits are just fused.
Have main power (bypass ignition), fogs, driving1, driving2, rear LED work light, etc. All wired and switched from the inside, with proper circuits ready made.
Great solution for me (I have two of them) and saved a bunch of wiring and connecting, not to mention, potential mistakes...

Then general rule is one relay per pair of lights. So you'll want to run 3 if your planning on running the 6 lights. For the 4 roof lights you could just run one switch that activates both relays
By the way. I wouldn't use the wiring hella supplies. Upgrade to some nice 14 gauge. I use 12 gauge for power/ ground to the relay then 14 to the lights
