Well then the point of this thread is dumb.. Two alternators is a waste of time and money and room when you can get a higher output alternator leaving plenty of room for a OBA. What would be a good question would be: OBA or high amp alternator. My guess would be to to do the alternator so that you can run more tools, be able to run winches, lights, etc.. Then do OBA.

 

X2 I have to buy a new compressor for mine but Im doing OBA instead of dual alts and batts. OBA you will have it to run tools air your tires blow up a mattress blow up beach equipment or what ever else you need air for. Dual alts and batteries sure you can run more lights and electrical accessories but that does you no good on the trail when you can run the upgraded alt and dual batteries wired together along with OBA. That way you still run an insane amount of lights and have extra power for your winch for when you really need it.

 

OBA, then upgrade alternator and run dual batteries.
