Its hard to just delete the a/c pulley go to car quest auto parts and ask for an a/c bypass pulley for your year xj bolt in and alot nicer thena bulky compressor

I will forever pimp out this tutorial. It does EVERYTHING that you would want to do with the stock pulley system. It moves your alternator higher and creates clearance for the 136 amp ZJ alternator. It deletes your mechanical fan entirely. it allows you to use a larger a/c compressor if you want cooler air OR more on-board air power. and if you don't want the a/c compressor it allows you to bypass it without buying another idle pulley, you just run the belt straight from the alternator to the steering pump with this layout. all of this, and all you have to do is go to a junkyard and get zj or yj 4.0L accessory brackets. depending on how many idle pulleys you use(i have 1, but the stock layout with the zj bracket calls for 2) decides how long your belt will be. currently I have no compressor and 1 idle pulley. and I could probably delete the idle pulley but I use it to clear the thermostat housing.
hope my monologue helps lol.
