I fabbed up this bracket from the cut off piece of door hinge and a piece of angle iron. The wing nut is attached to the end of a bolt. The bolt holds the bracket to the door hinge through an existing hole in the hinge. The mirror is a $12 cheapie meant for a CJ from Amazon. The mirror is located in about the same spot as stock, so visibility is good. Doing it again, I would get a higher quality mirror as this one shakes going down the road.

I use motorcycle mirrors welded onto a bracket the bolts onto the door hinge. Ran those for about 5 years now and just finally broke them off this year with a couple flops. Gets the job done great, I just need to build a new set now

I read the motorcycle mirrors @ Wal-Mart's were plug n play on the stock hinge. I've not looked into because I have some bling YJ mirrors I need to install.
