I'm looking into a new set of tires and news some advice. I'm looking for all around best tire from street use to rock mud and sand. I daily drive my Xj. And my swampers were killing gas milage.

I'm liking the Mtr kevlars so far. But opinions whould help
and I want to run 35x12.5x15

 

If you can find them the mtr with Kevlar is awesome.

 

The discount tire in my area has them in stock lol $950. Before taxes

 

I have been waiting for about 15 different discount tires in my area to get them in stock, been waiting over a month.

 

Well just contacted my local discount tire and my luck don't have them anymore. :facepalm:

 

Any tire with the size of 35x12.50x15 will drop your mpg unless you already run that size

 

what gears are you running? 4.56 or 4.88?

 

My swampers were 36x14.5x15 with 4.10 gears

 

get some new gears my friend. will help out you mpg.

if you want 35s you definitely need to re gear. i learned everything i know about regearing on this forum, reading will help you understand

OK I read that chart and by down grading to 35s my gearing is right on the money for fuel economy
so why shouldi change my gear ratio? ?? Even with the 36s its close to good fuel economy. I must bemissing something

 

it could just come down to your driving. with 4.10s and 35s youll loose a bit of torque. may be compensating with gas?
