Well since this old thread came back up today I might as well say something about it since this is the VERY engine I have in my jeep now.

First off I only have around 200 miles on it so I am working a few things out still.
Is there an increase in power?

Only down low, thats it.
I live in the mountains, and coming up to 7000FT is is still pretty slow.
Once it is broken in, I will take it offroad and see just how it performs, but right now I say it is probably not gonna be a good daily driver engine?
Why did I go this route?

Well when I needed to rebuild my engine (mine was to far gone actually), or get a rebuilt long block every builder and machine shop could not get parts nor give me a delivery date.
ATP in FL. had most of the parts in stock for this thing.
Well see how it goes, but right now I would have been happier I think with a stock 4cyl.
