Default new lower control arms or not

I've got 3" of lift. will maybe go up to 4.5 someday. Will replacing the stock lowers with something better benefit in any way? I dont rub currently. They seem like a weak link compared to aftermarket. Also, at 3" of lift will the difference in caster using the stock ones matter much? If I replace I would get some adjustable ones.

yes, for one you will get more droop because your control arms will no longer be contacting the control arm mount. you will also gain adjustability which will let you set your caster like you mentioned. the strength is also a notable upgrade because the stockers are just stamped sheet metal.

Well worth it to upgrade the control arms. Do it once, do it right the first time. Adjustable control arms will allow you more tire placement and caster adjustability. They will also be stronger then the stock arms.

A good long arm kit will do this as well as replace your week control arm mounts on the unibody, offer better on road handling and ride quality, and majorly improve your offroad capability. You will enjoy your rig much more.

If you don't want to spend a lot of cash and want to upgrade when getting new bushings then look into WJ control arms. They're much nicer than stock.
