I am looking to get a light bar on my XJ. I have never had one, and I love how bright they are. I am actually probably going to buy one for my RZR as well.
What size is everyone going with, in the 40-50" range, where are you mounting it, and what brackets are you using? I plan on getting one off amazon that has decent reviews as far as the light bar itself. My whole jeep is raptor lined in black, so I don't think glare will be a big issue.
If you aren't familiar with IP ratings, read up:

The difference between IP67 and IP68 is that 7 can be submerged in one meter of water for 30 minutes, while 8 can be submerged from 1-3m (testing depth determined by manufacturer) indefinitely.
Realistically, IP67 is fine if you're looking for a budget light, especially on the roof. Personally, I have a 30" Aurora light bar on my YJ. It's a Chinese company that reverse engineered Rigid lights (some of the best in the industry, but way outside my budget) and sells them for about half price
Cool! This is information I was not aware of! How is everyone getting the wires to the cab and mounting it to the roof? Drilling holes and using gromets I am guessing? Not too found of doing that, but I suppose that is about the only way to do it isn't it?

Standard method is to drill a hole and use a grommet with a dab of silicone. As for brand, just read as many reviews as you can find. Make sure you use a relay in your wiring harness

I found where I could add the relay harness to that light for another 16 bucks, and was going to get that too. Thank you for the help everyone. I believe that I am going to get the one in my previous post!
As far as mounting I use the brackets it came with and just drilled holes through my roof. It comes with everything you need, harness, light, mounting brackets, and switch. I ran my wires into the car through the same grommet that the main harness goes in, and the switch is hidden behind my 4wd shifter.
