This pic looks like the shims were placed in the front, not the back of the leaf springs. around rear diff connection.

Hahaha I Had to go look at my Jeep to see what side the little brake line connection thing was on so they are in backwards the shocks not hooked up and neither are the ujoints which is good maybe he was spinning it the right way. I just saw the picture on Google and threw it up cause you could tell where the shim was it wasn't disguised in mud

Ok, #1 shows. It is rubbing inside this area just tapping the sides inside when the driveline moves.
#2 this part is not touching. Only inside, how the blue line is drawn.

sorry for the crappy art, but i did this quick in photo edit.

hope it helps kinda..
And THANKS everyone again for all the input.

Any advice for lifting the leaf springs up to get these little shims pushed into place?
And advice on the center bolt? like replacement size, etc?

Who knows what is going on in that random pic from the net. He could have been redoing something or actually aligning the yokes for a plain ujoint shaft.

Place the jeep on jackstands and lower the axle away from the spring. Use a c clamp to hold the pack together. You may have to cut the center bolt out.

How about greasing those little nipple fittings in there and on the drive shaft?
