new guy here was 98 Cherokee
what's going on guys? Name is Mike. I finally got one of these. I'll get some pictures in the morning. Three-inch lift, 31 inch tires. 15 inch steel wheels and a custom rear bumper. got it for pretty good price I feel. (1200) does seem to have a few wiring issues. Working on that. I currently. $500 to spend on it. Down low on the bumper of a spot for two lights. I was going to see about putting small LEDs in that spot and a bigger one in the middle of the bumper. Would also like to pick up LED headlights. As I'm sure most of you know mine has aluminum head. Just hit 225,000. I had a few people here tell me it would be worth taking it down doing the head gasket and putting on a cast iron head. I think a remanufactured head and some lights would probably be about the 500. What is wrong with the aluminum head? Any recommendations on lights? Thanks a lot have a good one guysthis

Congratulations, 98s are a good year, and $1200 isn't too bad if it's still in decent shape. If you 4.0 is stock it has a cast iron head already, they never put an aluminum head on a 4.0 from the factory, but I believe their are some aftermarket ones available.
I see why you say that. I did even get this one squared away yet. I bought another one already to good a price to pass up. the 98 is in good shape. Does have a lift but has never been off road. One dent in the door and another one in the bumper. I have yet to find any rust. Good to know that I have a cast head. Am still learning about the Jeeps. One guy told me newer Jeeps have aluminum heads. I work for Mavis discount tire. Tomorrow I'm rebuilding all my brakes. Going to get a price on Goodyear all-terrain tires. Going to see about 32-inch tires I think I can fit them. I'm happy with what I paid for it I'm enjoying it. any recommendations on LED headlights? Many to choose from.
My Cherokees and 98 classic. Fully loaded with all the power crap to break. Anyway, the door locks and power windows work when they feel like it. any ideas? I thought about seeing if I could find manual doors. Seems and having a few wiring issues there. this weekend I'm going to do the valve cover gasket. one step at a time.
