Default new flooring/interior

I'm finally getting started on re-doing the inside of my XJ. I want to rip out all the carpet and lay down some kind of 'rhino liner'. My question is do I need to somehow insulate the floor, and if yes, what to use?
Also, which rubber layer is best? I've heard of the obvious rhino liner and what not. Also lizard skin... Looking for something that is durable but wont brake the bank.

I also have stereo/amp cables running to my sub-woofers. Any suggestions where to conceal those with the new floor?
THANKS!

No insulation is required. I have painted metal.
