Default New crossover stearing build. Heim joints or standard tie rod joints?

Got a dana 44 Hp im throwing in the front. Im planning on my steering setup, i guess my question is i dont know if i should get heim joints or the standard oem joints? Whats the difference?

lots of ppl say get tierods if u drive one the street. but i just made chromo crossover steering with 7/8 hiems .........beefy !. and i drive on the street . just gotta make sure everything is always tight .

and im pretty sure there not DOT approved ? the heims that is .... ima just run it till the man hassles me .

depending on state law and inspection routines, heims are generally not legal for use in steering related components. Youll never be pulled over for it and if your state doesn do safety checks during inspections it doesnt matter either.

as for drivability, i have no experience with heim steering, so no help there lol

Heim joints generally take more maintenance than the standard tie rod ends, but unless you are going with some really large tires the TREs should work better for DD and wheeling.

you could also do 1 ton tre's instead of stock.

youd most likely have the drill out the holes to fit them, and they wont have the proper taper required. correct me if I am wrong as I am just assuming

but to the OP, id run TRE's if its driven on the street most of the time
