Default New Cooling Fan

I have a 1995 cherokee automatic that wants to overheat. My Electric cooling fan died, I replaced it with a 1000 CFM fan. I'm looking at this now.

Explain. Is it overheating on the highway at speed, or is it overheating when you sit still in traffic? "Wants to overheat" is too vague for a vehicle that can overheat in a variety of ways.

In most all case's a stock cooling system will handle all the cooling very well if in good condition.

I have a 94 that I have been dealing with it getting hotter than I am OK with (up to about 230-240). I rebuilt the entire cooling system with a high flow water pump, thermostat and housing. All new hoses, a new temp sender and a heavy duty fan clutch. A three row all metal radiator, flushed the system, water wetter and STILL got hot in 110 plus AZ. I replace the CCV valve (the old one cracked) then had a massive vacuum leak and the overheating was worse. I figured that the new CCV valve(orifice) was the culprit i pinched the hose down to reduce the vacuum flow, temp went down, just not enough. I pulled the hood, temp went down again, this time to within op temp. I finally had time to make some 2" hood spacers and put the hood back on . The cowel induction affect really works on this thing! The temp stays about 195 (thermostat temp) with the AC running and hot as hell outside. I plan on building a custom cowel hood for it when I have the time. BTW I have plans of replacing the CCV with an OEM unit, hopefully that will fix the vacuum issue. I am also contemplating a Ford Contour dual electric fan set up, I like the idea of tons of cooling sitting still or crawling through a hot desert wash. I know there are pros and cons but im leaning toward the electric.

If using that fan get a shroud that works with it, or just use the stock fan and shroud, a good upgrade is the new "Clutch" for the manual fan, this one is meant for a ZJ but pushes more air - Found here at Autozone Don't forget to use the P20 code (or better ones online) to get 20% off the price and pickup in store.
