Default Neon injector swap

Hey everyone, quick question. Is anyone on here running dodge neon injectors? I've heard that it's well worth it to do the swap. Better throttle response and MPG. I have a 00 xj which year neon injectors will I need? If anyone has experience in this and can shed some light I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for reading!

You'll need the 784's, and yes, it's worth doing. Just got some on my XJ and I can definitely feel a difference in the throttle. Here's a link to a good write up on them. https://thexjguys.wordpress.com/2012...injector-swap/

I didnt notice much by switching to 784's. I guess my MPG is pretty much always the same, so thats cool.

They are found in 97-01 Chrysler 2.4 engines.

I run them in all of my jeeps. Better throttle response, more fuel savings, and most important of all... NO LEAKING OEM INJECTORS! The stock injectors on the 4.0s are prone to cracking and leaking. I feel much more safer this way

I did for both my jeeps. I spent a month tracking all gallons, mileage drove, etc and then installed the injectors, did the same. I got 1.5 mpg increase

I did the neon swap as well (actually is was 2 dodge caravans, but same injectors). I also noticed a smoother idle.

I just changed mine today in hopes of an MPG increase. The idle seems very smooth, though it wasn't to bad before the change either. I plan on keeping track of my mileage looking for an increase - well I consistently track it always!

I too put in a set of 784 injectors in my '00. Noticeably better throttle response. Haven't tracked mileage. Highly recommend programbo on the forum here. Quick shipping, great price.

If you are going to grab a set from the junkyard you can also use ford 19# injectors. They helped my throttle response and idle quite a bit. I believe they can be found on ford mustangs.

Just wondering, has anyone done the swap on a brand new motor?

It occurred to me that if the swap was done to replace old stock injectors then at least some of the improvements could be attributed to simply installing a fresh set of injectors.

I installed them when I put my rebuild in three months ago, what are you wanting to know?
