I am going to buy a real lifted leaf pack soon. My bastard pack/aal hybrid is ok I guess, but I want real leaves.
1- Are Rusty's leaves a good set ride wise? If not, at the 3.5" height, whom would you recommend? I want to achieve 4.5" of lift and want to get read shackled because I hear they will flex better than 'just' a 4.5" pack itself. I'm looking for ride quality
2- Does having a 3.5" spring pack, with 1"(approx) shackles mean the 'flex' helps it ride better on the street too? My AAL/bastard hybrid can jar your kidnies pretty good
3-What governs the street ride more, the shocks or the leaf springs? I'm movin to an area soon where I'll be able to offroad, but this is my dd too and I don't want it to ride like a tonka truck either

Rustsy rides OK at best. I feel like i am diving over speedbumps in my 74 k10 thou. Kinda stiff. I have Rustys 3 inch packs. They are cheap, you get what you pay for.
If you want pure quality look at Deaver or national leaf springs.

I can't do OME. They only offer a 1.5 or 2" lift right? That's still not tall enough.
I already have a bastard pack. I'm not trying to go cheap, I already did that. I want a great ride.
Thanks for the suggestions.

i'm talking about the G9s btw, which are the "jeepspeed" leaf pack. deaver can make whatever you want, but those are the packs that people are talking about when they talk XJ deavers. not sure what the YJ springs are like.

dont get me wrong, i love my deavers and wouldnt consider anything else. but if you want a car-like ride, theyre not the spring to get.. especially since you need a pretty firmly valved shock to keep them under control.
