6.5 in rc long arm with minor trimming fitting 35s no problem. And yes 35s give it a killer stance an make it look like a bad ****. Plus even if it's only an inch of extra ground clearance sometimes that's all u need. Still have plenty of room to flex but no pica of that yet. Lifts only been on a month or so an haven't had time to bump stop it properly yet. 35s was my goal am I almost gave up on it listening to everyone else talk crap. If that's your goal don't let people hold u back. U drive the beast everyday so let er eat lol

So I'm kind of stuck on what to do about the control arm situation. When I stuck the 1 3/4 coil spacer up front it was incredibly hard to get the control arms back in place. My front axle was pulled so far back after putting the left control arm on that I had to hook a ratchet strap to the swaybar and axle to pull it back forward. Now my axle is off centered, probably 2" towards the back.
I guess my question is will a RC Drop Bracket Kit push my axle back forward and correct my problem?
Thanks for any input and help!

The drop baracket should make the ride a little better as well. You generally want to keep the control arm angle as horizontal as possible. Once you start lifting very much, you can't keep them horizontal in a practical way, but if you look at yours, they are at an extraordinary angle. When you get the drop brackets, it will even it out a little better, and will position the axle more forward than it is now. If you get them on and still find you want it further forward, you will want to get some adjustable ones.

I do agree with everyone that it looks Bad azz with 35s.. But if I keep running the 35s I will need to put more money then what I can into the Jeep to get it to the point where I could run 35s easily. So I ended up sticking my 35s up for sale or trade, and have a deal pending on some 31s and a nice chunk of change
Eventually I will make it back to 35s (or bigger) but my plan is to get a tow rig first and then build the XJ into a monster
here is mine as of now with the 35s... Its a beast, but only for a couple more weeks, until I make the trade...

drop bracket will help a ton. i have 8.5 inch of lift and want to go to 35. i would want to gear it lower so there was no loss of putting the power to the ground. 35's look BA but is looks or performance what you are looking for? i wheel mine every week and w 33's and 8.5 lift i still find places i wish i had more flex lol

Having a vehicle too high with larger tires make it unstable offroad and results in flops and rollovers. So properly set up rig for all around would be minimal lift, largest tires and maximum down travel.
Plans for my new trail rig (just waiting on money and parts) is 4-5" of lift, 35's-39's, and a longer wheel base. Bigger isnt always better as i learned with my 1st jeep. I was ~7" of lift on 35's and boy could that thing roll
