Ok, my jeep ran great, started every time, and was fine... But a few weeks ago I went out there and got in it but when I tried to start it it was so dead the buzzer to let you know the door was open wouldn't even work... So I changed the battery and both battery cables and it works. Yet, now it only starts when it wants to!!! The battery keeps a charge so far but when I turn the key it's silent!! Doesn't even try! But sometimes it start right up! Oh and the previous owner took the 4WD shaft out so it doesn't work anymore. But whenever it starts I hear the wheels locking in the back and the "all time 4WD" light is on! Please someone help!!!!!

sounds like you need an ignition switch and a driveshaft... your description wasn't clear enough to be sure though.

I'm pretty sure your right about the ignition switch... Idk about the driveshaft. What details can I give you to let you know for sure?

lol, well... what 4wd shaft are you referring to? I assume you mean the driveshaft going from the transfer case to the front axle? got pics?
