Default Name that Vibration.........

Ok first off I have spent days searching and either I'm not smart enough to find the answer or it isnt to be found. Regardless please feel to make a comment.....use the search.......clutter clutter clutter..... then make a suggestion.

My 1994 4dr XJ has an Auto transmission, np231 tc with a 1" drop, d30 HP front, 27spline 8.25 rearend, aproximately 5" lift and rides on 33x10.5x15 MT's, and it has a vibration that only happens when coasting just off throttle or when I slow down but not while on the brakes. It happens at the moment when the rpms and the wheel speed are close. Doesnt happen under acceleration, or under braking. Sounds like its coming from the area of the rearend, Ujoints in the rear Driveline are new. Wondering if it may be a TC issue or maybe a pinion bearing? Enlighten me Oh Wise Keepers of Cherokee Knowledge.........

Please

What rear driveshaft? TC drop is never good for your driveline in the long term.

Bad u joints. Get under there and grab your driveshaft. It shouldn't move much.

I had 5" on my last one with a TC drop, and it still had a vibration in the rear also. I'm willing to bet it is the driveshaft, and you need an SYE. Thats what fixed mine. They just arent made to operate at that angle, even with a TC drop. The joints wear out quick and its just not harmonious.
