mystery springs
I have a set of front coils for my xj and cant remember what size lift they are. I can say they are about 21.5 long with 5/8 wire size expanded where as my stockers are at 18 or so with 1/2 " wire. If they are anything bigger than 4 then I want smaller ones lol

Well I'd start by MEASURING how much lift you have? That will tell you how much lift the coils provide.
Without knowing the number of coils and spacing, lift can't be calculated with spring length and wire diameter alone. Exampel my 3.5" lift springs are 1" longer than the stock coils, but have more coils and thicker wire.

So...your Jeep is stock, but you have 4.5" lift springs?
My guess is you bought a pair of coils, and forgot what you have. Meaning they are not installed on the jeep yet. Correct?
This is why you need to be descriptive when you post. None of us are Carnac the Magnificent, we can't gaze into a crystal ball and tell you what you're thinking.
You can't go by how tall they are. Spring rates can differ based on what size the coil diameter is, how many coils are there, and so on. You won't be able to tell just by looking.

I already have it apart I guess I will on wednesday. May have to disconnect my stock control arms to even get them in but seems this is my only option.

Jack the opposite wheel up a little it will cause the work side to droop more. Should be able to get 22" long springs in just undoing the shocks, swaybar, trackbar.

Is your trackbar disconnected???? I can get my 3.5" spring with a 2" spacer in and out , without prying. Stock arms still connected. Heck the 3.5" springs (no spacer) FALL out when flexed.
