Mysterious Casting Mark on 2001 Head

Mysterious Casting Mark on 2001 Head
I bought my Cherokee used with 58,000 miles on it and the head was already changed out. I just can't identify it. It has a "DD" in place of the "0331" mark.
For my peace of mind, does anyone know the manufacturer?
