My first post
This week end i am going to install a RE 4.5 lift on my 01 xj , anything special i need , or to look out for besides the rear upper shock bolts..Thanks...Lew

Hi Lew, and welcome to the forum. If you haven't already pick up some PB Blaster and start spraying every bolt/nut you need to remove. With an '01 and a 4.5" lift you are going to need at the very least a TC drop, though you would be better off with a SYE.
If your kit came with full leaf packs take caution when removing the old leafs. The weld nuts like to break free in the unibody, and the bolts like to rust themselves into the bushing sleeves. With an '01 your rust shouldn't be near as bad as my '92 was.

Like sthon said make sure to spray down all the nuts and bolts really well with PB Blaster ant least one or two days before you start working on her.

Thanks ,, i have be spraying the PB blaster , the kit comes with new spring packs , thanks for the tip on the sye , i forgot about that , i will pick on up ...thanks..

Lift update , got the lift on , only a few problems with the rear shock bolts but that is fixed , drives nice but have a fibration in the rear drive train between 20-40 mph , i did the 1 in tc drop but no sye , pinion angle looks ok but i haven't put a gage on it yet , any thoughts ?? thanks ...Lew

I don't know how to put up pics on this forum yet , but i have a pic in my profile , for the vibration i decided to go with a SYE and CV drive shaft , hope to have it done this week end if the parts come in ....

Thats cool , where go you guys go 4 wheeling at ?? i know corbett , but i think thats a swamp this time of year with all the rain , i heard there was a place at the end of hypoluxo ??
