My first post

This week end i am going to install a RE 4.5 lift on my 01 xj , anything special i need , or to look out for besides the rear upper shock bolts..Thanks...Lew

Hi Lew, and welcome to the forum. If you haven't already pick up some PB Blaster and start spraying every bolt/nut you need to remove. With an '01 and a 4.5" lift you are going to need at the very least a TC drop, though you would be better off with a SYE.

If your kit came with full leaf packs take caution when removing the old leafs. The weld nuts like to break free in the unibody, and the bolts like to rust themselves into the bushing sleeves. With an '01 your rust shouldn't be near as bad as my '92 was.

Like sthon said make sure to spray down all the nuts and bolts really well with PB Blaster ant least one or two days before you start working on her.
BTW, Welcome to the forum

I don't know how to put up pics on this forum yet , but i have a pic in my profile , for the vibration i decided to go with a SYE and CV drive shaft , hope to have it done this week end if the parts come in ....

Was a place. Its closed down now. We have some private property out by Corbett we go riding on. Come say Hi to the rest of the crew on South Florida Dysfunctional 4x4s in the Southeast wheeling neighborhood.

Did you get an alignment after you lift install? That could cause vibration.
