Looks good man. I put the same lift on mine a few months ago. I am happy with it so far. It does have a pretty rough ride but i think its due to terrible shackle angle. My plan is for some no lift shackle relactors sometime this summer.

The ride is rough due to there spring rates being so high. Both look hood though.

I had the same issue with the shackle angle, mine was absolute crap after putting on the zone lift. I just made a set up re-locators, didn't lift the back up too much. The ride is still rough but it's a little better, i probably could have build the re-locators better too. Like swampxj said, Zone has heavier springs so it ain't gonna ride like no Cadillac. Both Jeeps looking good btw :thumbup1:

I like it so far, and to me it don't ride that bad. But im also used to riding in my C5 Z06 that's lowered on coilovers and is a ****ty ride lol.

Fred/N0AZZ 04-11-2015 12:43 PM

The bad ride is from the high spring rates, don't know why they did that and choose that length for the leafs.

I'm in... my '99 on the 3" ZOF kit. Stock rims plastidipped on 31's

It definitely a rough ride... but WTF... it's a Jeep. What make and model tires are you guys running?

Shackle angles (which are usually bad from cheaper lifts), shocks, and spring rates effect the ride. Shackle relocators, quality shocks, and some aftermarket bumpers will help out the ride to be smooth.

Im running the Kenda Klever MT 31x10.5 15 after they where out I might do the General MT's

straxcla 04-12-2015 11:28 AM

I'm running 31" General AT2. They were cheap, and have so far been a fantastic tire.

unidentifiedbomb 04-12-2015 11:45 AM

I'm looking at getting the AT2s in 35s as my next tire. They look great

Fred/N0AZZ 04-12-2015 12:46 PM

The ride was very good with the Rustys 3" leafs/coils even with the stock shackles they are one of the only company's that have Amer4ican made springs and the leafs are the proper length. They also offer 2 different coil spring rates one for a winch/bumper combo (heavier) and a stock front end one.

I'm still using my 3" Rustys leafs with 1 1/2" Boomerang Shackles for the current 4 1/2" lift excellent ride still with better flex than a std. 4 1/2" leaf.

Ya i remember seeing the spring rate was pretty high. Oh well though. I don't expect an amazing ride with a jeep and a cheaper lift kit. Would better shocks make enough difference to be worth it?

I am running 31 10.5 15 BFG KM2'S, i have been really impressed so far with them

Did you take off your rear sway bar and get disconnects for the front?
